Frequently asked questions
How does expense splitting work?
Cazmate offers three ways to split: equally (equal shares), by shares (for example 2 shares for a couple, 1 for a single person) or by amounts (a specific amount per person). You choose for each expense, and the app does the maths.
Can we add receipts?
Yes. Every expense can come with a photo of the receipt or invoice, taken straight from your phone.
Who can edit or delete an expense?
The person who created an expense can edit it, and delete it while it's still pending. An admin, or a member with the delegated "Finances" role, can do everything. Expenses created from a stay are locked.
Can stays generate an expense?
Yes. If you set a price per night (or per night and per person), every approved paid stay automatically creates a contribution in the finances, split between the participants.
