How do I manage several houses?
Each house is independent, with its own members, settings and subscription. You can easily switch between your houses from the main menu. Ideal for managing a main home and a second home, or several family homes.
How do I organise a jointly owned family home?
Cazmate adapts to joint ownership or a family property company (SCI). You can hand out responsibilities with roles (admin, member, guest, and roles delegated by module), split the costs according to your own rules and keep full transparency on expenses. Cazmate doesn't replace a legal framework, but it makes the practical day-to-day running easier.
How do I split expenses between members?
In the finances module, each expense can be split:
- •Equally between the members concerned
- •By shares (e.g. 2 shares for a couple)
- •By exact amounts for each person
- •Between certain members only
You can also set a financial contribution for stays (per night or per person, depending on the period): contributions are created automatically. Cazmate then works out who owes what to whom.
How do I get my data for bookkeeping?
Cazmate keeps your house's history: bookings, expenses, tasks, which you can view at any time in the app. For any request about your data, contact support: contact@cazmate.com.
How do I handle disagreements between members?
The admin has all the tools they need: change roles, adjust access or remove a member at any time. The history of each item (stays, tasks, expenses) lets you trace what happened. For complex situations, support can help you.
How do I prepare to pass the house on?
Cazmate makes handing over easier thanks to the history of expenses, house works and call-outs, the practical information (access, house instructions, useful contacts) and the notes (documents, instructions). A well-organised record for the people who will take over.
Does Cazmate replace a legal structure (SCI, joint ownership...)?
No. Cazmate is a tool for managing and organising day-to-day life. It doesn't replace a legal or notarial framework, but it makes the practical running easier between the people involved.
