Managing your house

Bookings, rules, day-to-day organisation and good practice.

How do I create my first house?

Creating a house in Cazmate makes it easy to run a shared family home or holiday home. It only takes a few steps:

  1. 1.Create your Cazmate account
  2. 2.Tap Create a home
  3. 3.Add the basic details (name, address, description)
  4. 4.Invite your first members

Your house is ready to use.

Can I edit my house's details?

Yes, administrators can do so at any time. You can change the name, description, address, photos and the way the house works (booking rules, access, notifications). Where to find it: Menu, then House settings.

How do I delete a house?

Only the house's founder can delete it, from the house settings. Other administrators can't, even with full permissions. Please note: deletion is irreversible and wipes all of the house's data (bookings, expenses, notes, history) for all its members. An active subscription doesn't prevent deletion. If the founder has deleted their account, the house keeps working normally for its members; for anything involving the house itself, contact us at contact@cazmate.com.

Can I transfer the founding administrator role?

Not from the app. The founder can't leave the house they created: to transfer this role to another member, contact us at contact@cazmate.com and we'll take care of it for you.

Can I duplicate a house?

No, duplication isn't available. To set up a similar house, you need to create a new house and configure it manually.

How do I organise several houses?

Each house is completely independent: its own members, settings and subscription. You can easily switch between your houses from the app's main menu.

How is my house's data backed up?

Data is backed up automatically on our secure servers in France. For any request about your data, contact support at contact@cazmate.com.

What happens if I no longer have a subscription?

It depends on the house. Your first house keeps working for free: only the Premium features stop applying, and your settings are kept. An additional house without a subscription becomes read-only: you can still view it, but nobody can add or change anything. Nothing is deleted, and everything comes back as soon as you subscribe again.
