Security and privacy

Data, access, privacy: how Cazmate protects your information.

Where is my data hosted?

Your data is hosted in France, in data centres in Paris, in line with European regulations (GDPR). Backups are automatic and access to the servers is strictly controlled.

Who can see my house's information?

Only the members you invite can access your house's information. Admins have full access, members access features according to their role, and guests have limited access to public information. Cazmate never shares your data with third parties.

Can I control who sees what?

Yes. You stay in control at all times thanks to roles and permissions. You can change roles, adjust access or remove a member at any time from the house settings.

Can I access my data?

Yes. Your information and your houses' history (stays, expenses, tasks) can be viewed at any time in the app. For any request about your personal data (access, correction, deletion), contact support: contact@cazmate.com

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Everything that identifies you (name, email, phone, address, password) is erased immediately and your upcoming stays are cancelled. What you've shared with your loved ones (past stays, expenses, notes) stays in the house, without your name: the family's accounts stay accurate. The houses remain available to their other members. Before you confirm, the app tells you what this involves, for example debts still to settle. A subscription you pay for isn't stopped automatically: cancel it from the website or the app if you paid by card, or from the App Store or Play Store if you bought it on mobile.

How are payments secured?

In the browser, payments are secured by Stripe; in a mobile app, they go through your App Store or Google Play account. Cazmate never stores your bank details.

Does Cazmate use my data for advertising?

No. Cazmate never sells your personal data to third parties. It is used solely to run the app, improve the service and provide customer support.

Who owns the data entered in Cazmate?

You do. The data you enter in Cazmate remains your property. Cazmate acts solely as a host and management tool. You can view and edit your data at any time, and contact us with any request about it.

Is the data used to train AI?

No. Personal data and the content of your houses are never used to train artificial intelligence models. Any analysis is carried out on anonymised data, solely to improve the service.
